Prof. Jeff Allan is a chartered engineer who runs Jeff Vehicles Ltd., developing electric and hydrogen solutions for road and rail vehicles. He has driven electric cars since 2010. Developing Hydrogen Trains
Learn more about how we're supporting the development of Hydrogen trains.
​Green hydrogen is a good fuel for high range heavy duty transport applications such as rail as an emission free alternative to diesel. The gas storage volume is much smaller than for batteries and lighter too. Green hydrogen is produced by applying electricity from solar or wind sources to water.
